Analogue dreamscapes
I originally conceived this series for the book ‘FATUM: A Poetic Journey with Film Photography {to Love},’ featuring poetry by Destin Judy. In this collection, poetry and surreal double exposure images harmonize to convey the dual nature of life, delving into the depths of loss, yearning, and the discovery of profound beauty in unexpected places. These works explore themes of abandonment, spiritual awakening, personal empowerment, and the profound growth of the self. Film, with its idiosyncrasies, was chosen as the medium for its ability to create dreamlike landscapes while remaining grounded in reality. This project represents a journey toward emotive images that, at first glance, might appear digitally generated but are deeply rooted in the tangible world.
